MOC-5958 FLL-Bot Mark II by Ray McNamara
MOC-5958 FLL-Bot Mark II by Ray McNamara
Ray McNamara refined his FIRST Lego League (FLL) EV3 robotic into this “Mark II” design. Shown standing on its finish, the rear-wheel-drive ‘bot might be constructed with the components out there within the EV3 Retail 31313 set. The front-mounted “Forklift” attachment clips onto the “Dog Gear” energy takeoff, and is sweet for pulling loops within the FLL Robot Game. The entrance caster wheels present stability. The underside exhibits a center-mounted EV3 Color Sensor for Line Following. Its placement alleviates points associated to Ambient Light Level modifications, for the reason that sensor is shielded from the solar and from individuals shading the robotic whereas standing across the FLL gaming desk. There are connectors on the edges to mount extra sensors if desired. Since the EV3 Infrared Sensor (proven right here in inexperienced) can’t be used within the FLL Robot Game, substitute a 45504 EV3 Ultrasonic Sensor as an alternative (proven mounted on the underside). An further (pink-colored) 5×7 Technic Liftarm (Part 64179) will not be included within the 31313 set, however you may get one simply from Bricklink or different sources. [Note that the LDD file does not contain the EV3 Ultrasonic Sensor or that extra 5×7 Liftarm frame; it contains only the EV3 Set 31313 parts.]
