This is my 2nd CMODEL from 42042. After BULLDOZER http://rebrickable.com/mocs/J_C/bulldozercmodel42042, it’s FORKLIFT this time.

Alternative mannequin (C-model) from 42042 LEGO© set.

The completed mannequin and its capabilities are proven within the footage and video.

Features:

motor operated:

– drive (ahead, backward)

Front axle is pushed – geared up with a differential

– steering (rear axle)

Ackermann steering geometry

– lifting fork

– tilting mast

guide:

– HOG steering (when gearbox is ready to impartial for motorized steering)

– constructed solely with the elements from the 42042 LEGO© set + 265cm string (not a part of the 42042 LEGO set)

– simply accessible battery pack (for battery alternative)

– all of the elements from the LEGO® 42042 set with stickers in response to the unique A-model (crawler crane) are re-used for the forklift with out altering the stickers.

NOTE (IMPORTANT):

The mast and forks are designed to go as excessive as doable (my design intention), not as quick as doable (not my design intention).

Lifting of the fork is just not very quick. However, the taking part in stability is sweet, however the mast is just not sturdy sufficient to elevate heavy objects! That was not my design aim.

The mannequin was designed utterly with out the usage of a pc. Only when it was completed did I make a 3D mannequin for renders and directions.
